Artist’s Note: A woven diptych tapestry originally created for the Terrain Biennial in 2017 with the intention of bringing neighbors together though community making, now stand apart; each half separated geographically and “just like you” - isolated. The “country” half takes on the obscuring haze of whitewash, ghosting similarities in the works and transforming the original intent of ‘connecting neighbors’ to one of fading into fearfulness. The “city” half remains bright and hopeful for a time out of the tangle of turmoil and stress.
