Artist’s Note: cease-fire is a textile installation consisting of a large piece of white silk draped over the facade of my home in the Midwest. This work draws from the historical precedent of a waving a white flag as a gesture of truce or peace. In this moment of overwhelming gun violence, this display is an exaggerated call for cease-fire. A plea for peace.
