Artist’s Note: I remember when I could safely sleep on the beach at night. Today some are unsafe in their own homes as stray bullets may enter through windows. Drive-by shootings, school shootings and other random gunshots leading to death are real and lead to nightmares for the survivors. This is a photograph of a person sleeping in a peaceful field of flowers within an urban background. In their dreams, they are free of the sounds and fear of gunshots and violence.
