NADINE LOLLINO & RACHEL DAMON
Light Folds
Paseo Festival at Taos, New Mexico
Performances on Sept. 16 and 17, 7 - 11 pm both evenings
Artist’s Note: The 22 folds to make one paper crane are 22 opportunities to pay attention, slow down and experience the present moment. Each fold, an opportunity to shed light on feeling, thought, and action. Assembled into a dress of 1000 cranes or a single offering to a fellow human at a coffee shop. How do we participate in the change we wish for, what is our inner light that we share with others that promotes more lightness?
Accompanied by musician Trey Donovan, and debuting the dress made of 1000 origami peace cranes created by Nadine Lollino, the performance interweaves among the textiles in an environment lit by projections of movement, color and nature. The textiles have been designed by Rachel Damon, director of Synapse Arts in Chicago and created by Rachel and Nadine.
ART-IN-PLACE is organized by CNL Projects and Terrain Exhibitions.
