Artist’s Note: Festooned is a colorful, lighthearted installation consisting of an altered antique tapestry, a large acrylic palimpsest painting (not shown), standing 2-dimensional fantastical figures of varying sizes, striped wall coverings, and ribbons in various colors and fabrics. The whole presents an inviting, buoyant, and joyous take on the presence of objects, thought, and spirit in the material world.
